Experienced PHP Developer (Laravel)

Your challenge

Alphacomm is on the hunt for a talented and experienced PHP Developer (Laravel) to join our dynamic payments product team. We need someone who can handle the crucial role in the development and maintenance of our payments as we scale towards our goal of processing €1 billion in transaction value.

As the Developer / Engineer at Alphacomm you:

·       Design, develop, document and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code

·       Collaborate within and across product teams to support the definition, design, and deployment of new features

·       Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the solution

·       Identify / fix bugs and performance bottlenecks in an efficient manner with little-to-no downtime

·       Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure best practices

·       Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends; ensure you are gaining and sharing knowledge

·       You will work in a cross functional scrum team where you are responsible for creating clean code with a huge business sense

·       Integrate new payment methods

·       Find generic solutions which are reusable and can accommodate multiple customers

·       Think about how our solutions can be improved and expanded

·       Be customer centric but also critical on thе customer needs

·       Be proactive in picking up new things to improve thе solutions we offer

General Requirements

·       Ideally, you have a College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, but experience is more important

·       You have a 100% match with our core values

·       You are fluent in English

·       You have experience with version management and love structured work

·       Experience primarily with backend and some frontend development technologies (HTML, CSS, Javasript)

·       You have at least 3-4 years experience in a similar position

·       You embrace agile methodologies

·       Proficient in PHP, Laravel, Eloquent, Composer, Bitbucket, Docker, AWS, GIT, MySQL

·       Develop and maintain APIs to support business requirements

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze integration needs

·       You MUST live in Romania (and are able to come to the Sibiu office sometimes)

Nice to have:

·    Experience with complex/big applications, consisting of multiple services

·    Experience with payments

·    Experience with external provider integrations

·    Understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services

·    Experience with API testing tools like Postman or Swagger

·    Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols, including OAuth and JWT
